Simultaneous Chess 

On every channel they do challenge me,

Realms of experience: up and down they dance -

Between this life and death no choice will be:

Short gallop or just steady trot, my chance...

Quite like a grapefruit they are squeezing me,

Half Simultaneous chess and half Roulette -

Medusa the insatiable, you see,

Above she smiles... "Ahead: next board instead!"

Simultanschach

Man fordert mich auf sämtlichen Kanälen,

Erfahrungsräume tanzen auf und ab -

nicht zwischen Tod und Leben darf ich wählen:

nur zwischen Kurzgalopp und Dauertrab …

Man quetscht mich aus wie eine Pampelmuse,

halb spiel' ich Simultanschach, halb Roulett -

und über allem lächelt die Meduse

der Unersättlichkeit .. das nächste Brett!
