The buckminsterfullerene, often called a "buckyball,"

is a spherical molecule composed of 60 (!) carbon atoms

arranged in a pattern of hexagons and pentagons,

resembling a soccer ball.

Its structure is both complex and elegant,

symbolizing harmony and perfection in nature:
